Mae is passionate about the Djembe and its song.  An enthusiastic learner, she has studied intensely and developed a deep love and respect for this West African instrument and the music it was created to play.  A rigorous instructional experience in Guinea, West Africa, solidified Mae's calling to the drum and as a natural teacher and facilitator, she is now on a personal mission to share the joy of this music with all people, through classes, free workshops, and performances with her students in the Austin, and nearby town communities.  ComeDrumForFun is a small but vibrant community of hand drummers in South Austin who simply love to study, then perform these traditional rhythms around Austin and surrounding areas for worthy cause events and private functions.  New students are always welcomed into weekly classes!  For class or engagement info:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
